CEEDA. Energy Efficiency Certification for Data Centers

What is CEEDA?

ceeda-logo-aeon-ingenieriaCEEDA provides an audited and certified assessment of the implementation of best practices in energy efficiency within a data center. It provides an operational and deployment action plan to further improve performance, allows organizations to compare the energy efficiency performance of their facilities and publicly demonstrate their leadership in data center energy efficiency.

How does it work?

The evaluation cycle lasts two years and consists of a full initial evaluation and a second evaluation one year later. The initial assessment provides a detailed analysis of the implementation of a set of best practices in energy efficiency in mechanical and electrical (M&E) management, information technology (IT) management and operational management. The second evaluation makes it possible to analyse the impact of the action plan on energy efficiency, the deployment of new infrastructure and the new services offered. It also enables the transfer to the customer of practical knowledge on the latest developments in energy efficiency worldwide.

What results does CEEDA provide?

  • A publicly recognized external verification of the implementation of energy efficiency best practices and the authentication of energy efficiency performance metrics.
  • A publicly recognized external verification of the implementation of energy efficiency best practices and the authentication of energy efficiency performance metrics.
  • A set of metrics and best practices for monitoring, reporting and reducing carbon emissions, helping to mitigate the impact of potential legislative impacts on carbon reduction.
  • Transfer of know-how on the latest developments in energy efficiency worldwide. An assessment of the impact of changes in the infrastructure of facilities, services and management that occur at the midpoint of the certification cycle.
  • A detailed analysis of the gaps in the operational status of a set of key energy efficiency criteria and an action plan describing the measures needed to improve performance.

AEON CEEDA’s partner

AEON ENGINEERING has independent consultants who will provide you with the expert advice you need. CEEDA’s ACP program members will help you to establish the best practices in the energy efficiency sector in your company and will support you during the implementation process while you obtain CEEDA certification. To do this, they will share their knowledge of regulatory requirements with you and teach you how to maintain resilience and responsiveness in your business. In this way, DCD maintains its impartiality as an independent certifying body.

DCD does not represent, recommend or certify individual consultants but we know that the ACP companies that are members of the program worldwide have extensive experience gained during the many hours they have worked with the Best Practices in Energy Efficiency in the Data Center sector, so they can help you achieve your objective in the most efficient way possible, in line with CEEDA requirements.
